Hello Reader,
I recently spoke with a wonderful woman in pharma. She’s a senior leader, and she excels at something many people find really challenging: building and maintaining genuine relationships.
She didn’t apply for her next role. → Her network brought it to her.
She is the kind of person who is always looking to help others. Not in a transactional way, but because she genuinely enjoys connecting people who could benefit from knowing each other.
And because of this strength, because she invests in meaningful connections, something beautiful happened.
Through one of her contacts, she was introduced to a colleague at another organisation. That colleague told her they were looking for someone with exactly her experience and skill set.
She didn’t find the job on a job board.
She was asked if she would like to speak to the hiring manager.
To me, this is one of the most powerful examples of what a strong network can do for your career.
But here’s the part people often forget: 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.
She didn’t just have a large network. She had a network that knew her because she had shown up for others first.
𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼?
👉 Help others whenever you see that you can, even if it seems small.
👉 Connect people in your network with each other (with their permission, of course) if you think it could be helpful.
👉 And invest in your relationships before you need something from them.
Over time, you’ll see that this generosity comes back to you in ways you didn’t expect.
Some of the best career opportunities don’t come from job postings. They come from the people who already know what you’re capable of — because you’ve been showing up for them all along.
You can do it! 🙋♀️💪

P.S. Who in your network could you introduce to someone else today? 🤝
