Hello Reader,
A little experiment in self-care and partnership.
Recently, my partner and I tried something new โ and itโs made a big difference.
โ
I love our family weekends: trips to the zoo, swimming with the kids, grabbing ice cream together.
โ
But there are also those weekends where the energy is a little low, and we both feel it โ the need for a little time to ourselves.
โ
So, over the past two weekends, we each gave the other a gift: ๐ฎ ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ “๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ.” No negotiations. No guilt. Just space to recharge.
โ
I just wandered around the city centre alone for the first time in what felt like ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ. I even used a gift voucher I had forgotten about (and maybe bought more than plannedโฆ but oh well ๐).
โ
More than the shopping, it was the wandering, the thinking, the ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ that did me good.
โ
And then โ back home to happy kids, swapping roles so my partner could have his turn. We both came back more present, more patient, and justโฆ better.
โ
It doesnโt take much. Just a little time. A little intention.
โ
What other things do you do, that help you recharge?
You can do it! ๐โโ๏ธ๐ช
